I got measles in 1963. That was the year the vaccine came out and also year my older brother started kindergarten and brought it home. I lost hearing in one ear because of it. Please vaccinate your children. I didn't have a chance, your children do.

What didn’t we get back then? We had the smallpox scar but everything else we were exposed to…even lead paint!

I remember standing in line at the to get the polio vaccine. Too bad all vaccines aren't delivered with a sugar cube. With the USA's sweet tooth everyone would be vaccinated.
They didn't do anything about lead paint or leaded gasoline until 20 years later. Lead had better PR than disease, I guess.
