I want to know how much a food item will cost before I decide to buy it or if I have to travel to get it. This will backfire on Wendy's -- https://www.cnn.com/2024/0...

If you offer peak time pricing and off-peak time pricing with the days/hours posted - that is reasonable. People could decide to eat a burger at an off-hour & pay less at dinner-time. But buying food & only learning of the price while you are in the drive-thru or at the window will be problematic.

Same here. And what about working people who have a set lunch time that they can't change? They would be forced to pay the higher "peak price". Or they skip Wendy's or any other place that decides to do this. Seems like a great way to lose business.

I'm pretty sure this will be D.O.A.
There's so much choice when it comes to fast food.
Competitors only have to maintain their pricing, all day, to steal peak-time market share from Wendys.
Nobody likes to feel ripped off.
Peak time is when profits are made.
