Always exciting to see a magnificent bird like this while taking a walk. Any #birders out there who can help me ID it? Thanks!

All I can say is that it's a hawk of some kind. We have several different species here in SoCal some small, some almost the size of an eagle. It's difficult to say from your video.

Thanks, Paulette. I would think that immediately, too, and the video is not best quality as I could see things that it doesn’t show. Like the wing span, small size of head, and wing shape. Turns out most likely a Turkey or Black Vulture, both of which we don’t see many of in Queens, NY.

We have a lot of turkey vultures here and some of them are huge. It's usually pretty easy to identify them because of their vulture head, unlike a hawks head. I looked at your video again and still can't tell what it is, but I'll take your word for it. I know seeing it in person is better.
