What movie were you most disappointed in?

The Phantom Menace for me. Ugh. Still so disappointed when I think about it.

So many good books get made into bad movies!

I can't think of a single case in which the movie of a book was as good as the book. Even 'Annihilation', which I greatly enjoyed, was a poor imitation of the excellent Jeff Vandermeer novel of the same name. It was *very* different from the book, but still paled in comparison.

When you have read and loved a book, the movie is always going to be different. Some stories might be better on a screen than on a page, but once I've read the book it is hard to watch the movie. Usually I am happy if the movie of a book i loved is "not bad"-
