Thank you for your interest. I don't bake them myself; I buy pain aux raisins from local (N. VA, DC, Southern MD) French bakeries. I skimmed the recipe and the only ingredient I found objectionable was icing. Unless desperate, I do not buy pain aux raisins drizzled with icing.
