Ouch! That hurts.
I landed in Texas when I came to the US in 1982. I've been back in Texas for 20+ years after living in 3 other states. I love my adopted country; I love my home state w/ all its imperfections. I work to make my community better, one small contribution at a time. Don't kick us.

Here's an alternative idea. Instead of making Texas secede, why don't we just throw them the hell out? And we can tell the others to get in line with the people instead of political alliances or they will suffer the same fate.

Spent most of my life in Ohio - I hear you. We didn't screw our states up. Money did. Blaming a whole state's population for a concerted effort by corporate and outside political and financial interests is short-sighted and, frankly, just plain shitty.

I do understand the deep frustration of many progressives amidst the current political landscape. But politics is local and that's where we may be able to affect changes.
