I was over at YouTube reading about how few paid days off Americans had. Someone calculated that Germans had 135 days per year. Japanese *high -ranking* salaried workers do not work on the red days: 20 National Holidays +52 Sundays. Now add 52 Saturdays.

New Years definitely extends to 1/4 or 1/7. My husband had 30 paid vacation days before he retired. Now he has 20 paid vacation days. Sick leave is sick leave and as far as I can tell and there is no slash in pay. Maybe there is, but it is never reflected in his take home pay. It makes you 🤔🧐.
