This is so true. A lot of states have something known as cross filing. It can be used for judges and school boards because its deemed a non partisan seat. This means during the primary, republicans & democrats can file to run on both party tickets. Always research. Know who you’re voting for!!

The bad guys HEARD us when we said "Vote blue, no matter who" and that is now being used to their advantage. PAY ATTENTION! The dirtiest of dirty tricks is fooling us into seeing nothing but the "D" beside a candidate's name.

I really feel like this has to do with who runs the local committees. They do most of the work to get someone on the ballot. Getting involved at a local level makes a big difference.

Definitely. But its still legal, in my state anyway. And i thought of myself as an informed voter and didn’t know this little fact until 2016

Oh I think there are plenty of folks who don't know to really look at the candidate not the party affiliation.

Back when i went in person, if i didn’t know all the candidates i would do the “when in doubt vote blue” but i didn’t always look at the dnc endorsements either because i figured they weren’t always 100%. Now i always vote by mail. Only way to really make sure i have the time to do my research.
