Never been a fan of standardized tests. All they really show is if students are good test takers. It doesn't matter the form.

It also means more wasted time prepping for these tests, time that can be better served developing a student's critical thinking skills, for example.

Black Intelligence Test of Cultural Homogeneity https://g.co/kgs/p2yr1Bb
White students failed consistently. This test was based on norms & knowledge derived from living in black households. Just as standardized testing is based on norms & knowledge derived from those who live in white households

Or they could allow some color on the board rooms and develop testing that measure actual knowledge. In the 70's I worked in a group with Dr. Robert Williams that proved standardized testing was biased. Over 50 years later nothing much has changed.
