That's what's weird, to me - they're mostly telling the truth about the economy, at least on the "news" shows on there. They're lying about it and everything else on the "opinion" shows, but why bother telling the truth at all, anywhere, if you're Fox?

Bill Palmer explained this one earlier today. Yeah, Fox lies like hell but even THEY know the lies, like any good fiction, has to sound plausible. Lean too hard away from the provable and you might lose your audience.

I don't think they'd have to do that, though. If you're watching Fox, you want to believe the whole world is on fire, and the US is a shithole that's falling apart because a Democrat is running things. Not sure who they think they have to keep by reporting the truth.

Again, they know there's a limit on what they can pull. Intangibles like the whole world being on fire? Sure, easy (and sidebar, too goddamn many on the left have gotten in the same habit). Stuff that they see enough in their daily lives to know is false? Too far.
