Not meant as policing but what if we stopped sharing polls that are not representative of how most Americans feel, but are clearly intended to spread hopelessness and apathy? I will not share, like or comment on these polls. I will not give it more oxygen. What we feed grows. Just a thought.

Poles keep people employed. They are part of America's obsession with gambling.
I don't give poles any value, mostly lies meant to distract

They are and when we share them we give them validation.

I have been doing this unconsciously but I agree and will now do it 💯intentionally. Thank you !

THANK you. Likewise. Everybody's known since at least 2016 (so for the past eight [gasp!] years!) that polls are about as reliable as TFG is honest. (So in other words, *not* reliable. Not even in the slightest.)

I am with 100% on that. Despite advances I n data analysis and the widespread availability of LOTS of free data, the central problem in statistics of achieving a truly random cross-sectional sample is more elusive than ever. And without a good sample all inferences are just heavily biased guesses

I agree. And polls are not accurate anymore. These days, who has a landline telephone (not me) and answers calls from unknown callers (again, not me)? The demographic that does both of those things drastically skews the results.

Absolutely! I do not take calls from numbers I don't recognize, I don't have a land line, and I typically don't respond to polls because I don't know what group is behind it.

I’m for ignoring them.
As Bouzy often points out polls have been consistently wrong.

Yes. I would feel differently about them if I thought for one moment that there was any true objectivity or integrity behind the polls. Time has proven time and again that there is not.
