Ok. My experience is in digital media. This is called Retargeting - there are full companies specializing in it. You visit a site or click an ad and they cookie you which allows them to ad target elsewhere.

Clear your cookies often. Cookies are going away but new Generative AI ad targeting on rise.

Question:
Has anyone ever clicked on an ad they liked (puppies!)? If so, did that make it appear more often?
I clicked on an ad for my local energy company, by mistake. It now makes up around 75% of all my ads. The pics are bland and boring. I scroll right by it. A+.

So, if I clear my Google cookies, does that mean I'll start getting random ads again, until it builds up cookie info?
Trying to understand how this all works.
Thanks!

lol. Something like that. But you won’t be followed. You can set up an ad blocker.

Also not just your google. You have to clear cookies on phone too. Your email address acts as a connector between devices.
