Please know that Opill needs to be taken at the same time every day. You really only have 3 hours of wiggle room. If you miss your dose, be sure to turn to another form of contraceptive. #birthcontrol

It's like many pharmaceuticals that become OTC: Its safety is documented if used as directed and side effects are reported. That's it. It's not a drug that's addictive or abused. All drugs can cause harm if not used as directed, but there are still thousands of OTC drugs available.

It does not have estrogen like other OPCs so certain risks are decreased, i.e., no clots. It includes a low dose of progesterone so has have fewer side effects. My concern is that not everyone will read the product label correctly for any contraindications or what to do when a dose is missed.
