I know it isn’t deliberate, but the film that ignored First Nations Americans wins Best Picture and Best Director, but the one that focused on their plight, and their erasure, misses out.

It highlights why there needs to be more Indigenous representation, all over the place. #Oscars

To disagree - I believe it is deliberate. The Oscars, and Emmys, etc., represent corporate ownership and production. They intentionally do not award marginalized people and communities. They always have, and without systemic change, always will.

So on the eve of the Oscars - the US Senate passed the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) again. But that isn't news.

Cuz it's the death science that just keeps on giving death celebrated in movies.

TY for your voice from AU
The omission of Indigenous Peoples lived & ongoing horrors are deliberate & intentional, the edu is easily accessible.

Sec. Haaland, Rep Leger Fernandez & ALL Pueblos called them out -
It's abt maintaining Amerikkkan amne$ia & glorification of death science.
