Shirley Graham Du Bois was also the second wife of W.E.B. Du Bois. He was the first Black American to earn a Ph.D. from Harvard University and one of the founders of the NAACP.

Shirley Graham Du Bois was a resident of 409 Edgecombe Avenue, Harlem NYC.

I found a video of her speaking at UCLA in 1970. She speaks of the past and how far we had come in 1970 and it sends a chill because we're going backwards from things that have never been perfect. Her own education was whitewashed and she discusses this in reference to Egypt being Africa.
