Structuralists come from a tradition of classification. What is good and why. But that is all based on a system that favored eurocentric works. Aztecs were building empires before Greeks philosophied anything, yet we know Greek names, but not indigenous ones. Funny that. It was on purpose.

Not to be a stickler, but Wikipedia tells me that the Aztek empires were around in the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries. Were you thinking of the Maya civilization?

Olmecs who predate Aztecs. Mayans were further south. But the real point is we don't even know this history that happened here, on this continent. Why was it "imported"?
