We are preparing to update our community rules and policies, which will now include a section explicitly forbidding the coordinated behavior of multiple accounts repeatedly piling on other users. This has been a major complaint on and off this platform, and now we are addressing it.

Christopher, how would I know, as a newcomer to a thread, that a piling on is happening when I can´t see the thread & its sub-threads (is that even a word?) as a whole? Do I have to open every sub-thread manually to check whether I inadvertently are at risk in participating in a frowned-upon action?

You can often tell a pile on is happening just by scrolling Explore. That's the arrival gate for every spout out there that you're not blocked from seeing. Pile ons are hard to miss, you'll know it when you see it.

two suggestions:

first, pretend you are in elementary school, either student or teacher. would your actions be considered bullying? then don't do it.

second, listen to his pod from this weekend:

Thank you for directing my attention to the pod, which I have been listening to at the time. I fear I haven´t expressed myself clearly enough.
