In meetings the last week. Again and again, women explain something and the men in meeting basically ignore them, restate and suddenly it’s a new idea.

How are men really not aware of this? That is what I don’t get.

I simply won't let it happen. Addressing the issue head-on always worked: "You ignored what i said, phrased it differently and tried to sell it as your idea. I see you."

This is good advice. I have to have a plan for it. I’m still too thrown and end up taking time to ask myself if that just really happened. Then I have to stop and think about what was said earlier and reality check, did I imagine that? By the time I’m done being flabbergasted the moment has passed.

One thing that I found helps: Practice a few lines n front of the mirror until they come naturally.
And don't ask yourself if it really happened. Trust your antennae. More often than not it's exactly what happened.
