I love the way vowels are two syllables - "yay-us."

A friend of mine moved to the midwest from GA, and the school insisted her little girl had a speech impediment and needed to go to a counselor. Turns out she was just talking with a southern accent like her mama. 😖

It's so cool to hear someone shift so seamlessly between accents. This woman has a great ear for it. Even though I knew this, I've never seen it summarized so beautifully.
FUN FACT: Rural Louisiana and Newfoundland, Canada accents are almost identical. Same ancestors, similar influences.

Yes! I tried to find out if it was a person that made more lectures but no one seems to post the info when it is posted. Apparently made a few years ago. 🩵🩵🩵

Yes! That was lovely narration. People like to make fun of a Minnesota accent. However, it’s a BROGUE. Most of our ancestors hail from Scandinavia and that’s where the “accent” originated.

That is so interesting. I never thought of it that way until this vid. Love the way each story and each response makes my world a little bigger. 💜 😊

I watched it a few times. The fluidity in which she moved between and showed the progressions was just awe inspiring. And my fam is from the south and I never heard this.

Of course she's right. It's good to stamp out prejudice wherever you find it, right? Wasn't that cool how fluidly she switches between the different accents?
