I heard someone say on the radio “there’s no getting around having to raise the retirement age or social security won’t be solvent” and what a load of crap that is.

The solution is to remove the cap on contributions so the wealthy pay into it at the same rate as the working class. #SocialSecurity

I quite enjoy our public servants to also be required to retire and apply for SSI. They can get what they put in.

You are absolutely right. We have to remove the 130k cap and raise it to 500k
This change would keep social security, medicare solvent well well into the future.
Also keep money's in trust fund not allow.
Politicians politicians to borrow from social security fund. Period.

What’s the rationale for stopping at 500k?

To keep with the President’s 400k promise- here is a proposal.

Keep the employee contributions the same. And lift the employer cap entirely.

Do I have this correct?!?!

The SAME party that is pushing the narrative that our current President is TOO OLD to keep his job is The Very SAME PARTY that is telling us we people in the US have to work to an older age before we can retire?

Is that what Republicans are saying?

That..
AND Congress has to STOP RAIDING Social Security to pay for INCOME TAX CUTS.

THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

SOCIAL SECURITY TAXES ARE SEPARATE FROM INCOME TAX.

And yes. All caps because I am screaming this.
