You'd need to know if that tree is native to where you're throwing it or they're invasive. It's not just the spotted lanternfly or emerald ash borer that are invasive. Plants are, too.

For sure. Because of the popularity of Bradford and Callery Pears as ornamental trees, They have become invasive pests all over. They serve no purpose beyond being somewhat pretty, and now are choking out native plants and trees.
