Russia is bluffing, as usual. I've lost count of the number of red lines we've crossed.

But we have 2 choices. 1) Honor the security guarantees promised Ukraine in 1991 when they surrendered their nukes. Or 2) Sit back and watch Putin terrorize Europe and make a mockery of the West.

Choose.

Exceptionally dangerous. It's vital to stop Putin in Ukraine, but putting French troops on the ground... even if they don't officially call it a war, that's what it'll be when French troops are killing and being killed by Russian troops. It'll be, in fact, a direct war between nuclear armed powers.

I believe we should support Ukraine, and there are a variety of ways to do so.

But deploying combat troops from a nuclear-armed NATO country to fight Russia directly is a "red line" I don't believe has ever been crossed.

Are you sure enough that Putin's bluffing to gamble the entire world?

And I don't think France has nukes either. 🙃

Yeah, I know.

What bugs me about all this "WW3 with nukes" fear is that this is the kind of thinking that gave Hitler permission to kill millions of people in WW2.

Bullies understand only one ting - power. Back down and they will keep coming.

We're already in a war. Deal with it.
