Don't tell the bald eagle but this vet has fallen in love w/another bird. Like clockwork, these birds visit my area in late fall, devourer all of the wild berries and right around the first of #spring , when they're stuffed and plump, pack up and return north. #dailypicturetheme

Is that what they’re called?? That’s a beautiful color. I’ve never seen a yellow bird before unless it was a parrot.

Are they in your area seasonally or year round? What state are you?

They are not overly shy and seems to have personality. I love that they allow me to get fairly close before flying away, though, that may be a product of them becoming familiar w/me during their 4-6 week 'layover' in the yard. Initially I can't get as close.
