no one deserves cancer. a lot of y'all seem to think it's some kind of activism to talk about how a wealthy person being diagnosed with cancer is "karma," as if she'll ever see your spouts. you know who will see those spouts? your friends who've had cancer or who have cancer now.

i don't believe in punishment. it is proven to not work. for those who have directly harmed others, i believe in rehabilitation.

i don't want to reinforce carceral justice systems, and that includes the things i say online about public figures & celebrities.

Exactly this. So many have trauma from their own diagnoses or the diagnosis of loved ones. The news brings up enough emotional upheaval without adding to it.

It's so harmful and just awful to blame people for their diagnosis that has nothing to do with their choices or actions or who they are.
