Cat question: if my cat was around weeds (that after googling I learned are poisonous to cats), but he didn't ingest any, is he gonna be fine?

I think it requires ingestion to get any reaction for most poisons; if the plant has anything oozing out of it, that stuff may have gotten on their fur, and the cat would end up licking it up; rather unlikely to be oozing depending on your version of winter: just keep an eye on them

Thank you so much for responding. I'm a first-time pet owner and I have so many questions. And I want to make sure I'm caring for this baby correctly. Luckily he was good! No problems, but I did take down those weeds!

As a precaution I would wipe your cat down with a damp cloth to make sure any plant residue is not on them. Then just keep an eye on your cat.

Thank you for this suggestion! I will do this from now on. I'm sure he won't be happy with me, but I'll feel better knowing he is as safe as possible.
