Today is the last day of #braininjuryawareness month. Someone has a brain injury every 9 seconds in the US. In the US, the prevalence of brain injury in kids is 2.5% - very similar to autism. Brain Injury is also a leading cause of death and acquired disability in children.

Brain Injury is often invisible in its consequences with emotional, cognitive, and behavior changes being the most persistent. The rate of justice involvement for people with brain injury - both youth and adults - ranges between 60-80%!
