An interesting study found that a subset of ME/CFS might be caused by hypothyroidism in the muscle, caused by increased SELENOP-ab and a flawed conversion of T4 to T3.
Has anyone with Hashimoto's and ME/CFS already checked this for itself?

Yes my wife had thyroid involvement. Is on a low dose of a med to help with that, but still gets the symptoms. Would probably be worse without the thyroid management, but it's only a piece of the big picture for her anyway.

Same here. Thyroid is def part of it, but not the whole story.

Yeah glad they are making this known to more people as she found it out many years ago when they had to do not the general test but more specific thyroid functions... and hope it helps ppl, and there are so many factors w/in it I think. Hope you're doing okay!!
