Agree... it's not punishment but just paying for their fair share. During the era of Steve Jobs & Bill Gates, tax rates were very high but they still innovated, they were still wealthy beyond anyone's imagination...

They weren't even that high then. Let's go back to pre-Reagan. We still innovated and we still led the world economy. If I can't have my socialist utopia then at least give me a middle class.

Agree with you in principle... the discussion should be what the right number should be, rather than should it be raised. Like the whole idea that "investment income is different that earned income"? Genius concept... evil, but genius...

Civil political discourse. I like it, Picasso! Make it illegal to loan against unrealized gains! Set the tax brackets on a fixed scale that removes loopholes. Increase the SSI tax cap. Even just adding one more tax bracket for people making more than 10m per year would decrease our budget deficit!
