The Diné/Navajo Mountain Chant is held in Arizona, nine days after the end of winter. Since March 21st is usually the beginning of Spring (thus the end of winter), I am assuming that this is usually held about March 30th. This observance marks the seasonal transition.

It happens at the end of the thunderstorms but before the spring winds come. The chant is considered a curing ceremony, not only for physical healing in those that are ill, but also to heal relationship disharmony and restore balance in relationships.
