Why do I always add a B instead of a G at the end of the word “bombing” When I’m writing?

SWAG: Because the second b is silent and our brains experience a brief disconnect between what’s heard and what’s written.

I also almost always write “solider” rather than “soldier”.

When you say writing are you typing? I know I’ve typed “bombinb”, but only when touch-typing. I’ll bet there are many common touch-typing errors.

Yes, I guess I should say keyboarding. I am 62. I actually typed on a typewriter throughout graduate school.

I’m just shy of 60. Took typing as well. Had a portable, manual typewriter in college. 🤣
