What if you could walk from your home, order a coffee, and greet the neighbor that runs the place rather than driving your car to a Starbucks on a busy, sterilized stroad and ordering an overpriced drink from a soulless corporation?

Unfortunately, this is most likely illegal to build in your town.

One of the things I like about Portland is all the food truck pods you can walk or ride your bike to.
Still a lot of drivers, but there are good options available.
♥️ George Hahn, makes taking mass transit cool in NYC
And I haven’t driven a car in 2 years.

Support small businesses.

Yes, I love this! I've read that those who use public transit, walk, and bike to get around are actually more supportive of their communities than those who drive.

Way to support small businesses! You're a star!

Right?! I would love to see more small businesses like these that bring the community together. The reason we don't see it is usually because of parking minimums that make no sense or a weird zoning law that favors big commercial stuff. We could easily have more small stuff if we tried.
