I had a friend who took his pay each month in the Navy and bought a different new computer each month when computers were first a thing and stored them new in the box. I thought he was nuts but turned out he can sell them now for a helluva lot of money. He knew.

I'm far older. I remember my friends and I would get all excited when the new version of DOS was available, because it had utilities for memory and disk maintenance.

Ha! She coulda sold them at ine point for a tidy profit.

My Dad and Grandpa were top production folks at RR Donnelly in Chicago. They printed every major magazine, Time, Life, Sports Illustrated, Natl. Geographic etc and we had unlabled copies of all totally free.

Did we save them? Noooooo…
