His ongoing argument is that his trial appearances are a part of his campaign strategy. Also someone would have to indict and prosecute, which on current lead times means he’d see the inside of a court in about 2030.

It’s a winning strategy. As long he’s on trial, he’s never in jail. Unlike regular people that get tossed in pre-trial detention w/ a bail they can’t afford.
