We need to start making room in our culture for this. Other countries support their artists, designers, musicians, dancers...the people who bring joy and humanity the U.S. needs to do the same starting with the education system and the economy.

Easier said than done, because many people with those jobs starve in the United States and it would be more than parents who had to adapt and be accepting, it's the whole of society, and you know they won't do it. They gotta have someone to step on.

That is the current situation . It definitely would take big policy changes. I think it can be done looking at Germany, France, Africa, India, Japan...

I honestly doubt it. The "American dream" is all about boot strapping. Boot strapping doesn't exactly go hand in hand with working in the arts or humanities or doing something just for the beauty and betterment of society.

Everything starts with what we can imagine. You imagined your books. Someone needs to make the dream clear so it overwhelms the boot strapers. There's more of us.
New Mexico is starting to move in that direction in the U.S., Georgia subsidizes the movie industry, it's a start. ♥️
