Our older cat needs a dental and has one scheduled in two weeks. Unfortunately he is in pain and hasn't wanted to eat much. Finally bought and tried some baby food, which he ate. Also bought kitten milk and some cat broth/purees for him. He lapped up 1 of the broths as well. Open to suggestions

Mix the kitten food with some of the broth, if you haven't tried that already - we had a cat who'd crash with anemia occasionally, we always got him back on his feed mixing the kitten food with something liquid.

TY. I'll try that. Tried mixing regular pate with water. He ate a little of that. I do have a vet apt tomorrow. In this case it is a drop off instead of a scheduled time, because she doesn't have any actual appointments, but wants to see him.

The vets also gave our cat an anti-nausea pill, because he had idiopathic anemia, and was on immunosuppresants that upset his stomach. That won't help if the problem is your cat's mouth, though. He also had a lesion on the roof of his mouth - that's when we started watering down the food.

We just got the diagnosis. The issue is the mouth, but a dental isn't going to fix it. The issue is cancer in his jaw.
