One of my housemates was like this - she cooked occasionally, and bought new seasonings every time!

On Saturdays, I used to make a big pot of All Day Every Flavor Soup, using a pinch of every possible herb, spice, dressing, sauce, molé, etc.

I didn’t cook so much before I retired but take full advantage of my extra time now. I am trying to pare down the number of spices I have but am frequently tempted by a new recipe.

I recommend choosing a preferred soup base (I was making potato stock and then adding potato chunks, so they absorbed all the flavors) and then using them up a teeny bit at a time!
