Roku is now nothing more than an AD delivery system.

"Ads on Roku TVs could become a lot more prevalent and, if a new patent filed by the company comes to fruition, they could even begin to show up when you have an Apple TV, Xbox Series X or PS5 plugged into the TV's HDMI ports."

Peacock does this and I hate it. To be fair, most of the time the ad is silent, but still.

The fastest way to get me to stop using a streaming app (that I pay for!) is when ads take up as much of a show's runtime as it would on cable (ie: a 42 min show takes an entire hour).

"Yo-ho-ho" for me.

I dropped Prime Video on 1/29 (after 14 yrs) when they began showing ads and subscribed to AppleTV+ for $10.00 a month (with NO ADs) & PBS Passport at $5.00 a month with minimal ads (none during the show)

The only thing these greedy streamer channels will ever understand is voting with your wallet.
