Received a letter that looks like junk mail. Instead of putting it into the shred bin, I opened it to find it's from my former mortgage Co saying i overpd something. Checked...it's legit. Y'all chk your local .gov Unclaimed Funds to see if you're owed money from your state

Retired mail carrier says. Always check the postage on the envelope...upper right corner...if it is First Class Postage...open it. If it is anything less than 1st Class..it's junk

Actually, some mail items that do not have first-class postage can be very important. For example and among other things, year-end donation receipts for tax preparation might be sent with “non-profit” or bulk business mail” postage.
