How about playing alone??? Reading alone???
Daydreaming alone??? Children need to learn
it's all right to spend time by oneself...

These are social skills, so skills children need for successful interpersonal interaction. I understand your point, though. As an introvert, I’ve never had a problem spending some time alone. It’s how I recharge my batteries.

My concern stems from watching my grandchildren,

were highly scheduled... sports, play dates, extracurricular activities, church, Scouts... A few had chores... Few had any unstructured down time where they could simply be...

As I grow older I love my alone time. It is needed to recharge, reset. As a kid alone time gave me an opportunity to sort stuff out, dream, plan, imagine, etc. Grateful for those social moments too to learn from.
