My daughter is an Assistant Principal at an elementary school, and their entire student body and staff watched our total eclipse also. I’m glad that it fell on a school day, so the kids would be sure to participate and have certified glasses

The Archdiocese of San Antonio cancelled classes “out of an abundance of caution” citing they could not keep that ONE CHILD from looking at the sun without protection.

A lot of well planned eclipse lessons were cancelled.

It was cloudy across the Archdiocese.

Glad your experience worked out.

Luckily, our Archdiocese (St. Louis) allowed it, but drafted a very tight legal permission/hold harmless letter parents had to sign in order for their child to participate. Our K-2nd kids were fine.
