Many teachers knew closing the wood shop, electric shop, auto shop, print shop, and putting every student on a track to a 4 year college was a mistake. It was not a mistake, it was a disaster. Trade schools and unions may save the American working class.

I AGREE 💯.....When I was in high school there were many trade schools to choose from and just about everyone who graduated stepped into a job in their respective fields.

Trade school programs in high school and later created skilled employees. Universities and colleges in the U.S. create student loan debt and zero guarantee of a job.

Might I add that taking shop and family consumer science(home economics- sewing, cooking, nutrition, budgeting, health, sex ed etc) out of middle schools i favor of computer ed classes, denies hands-on learners an outlet and lots of skills needed to take care of yourself.
