Repeat after me:

It’s not a hush money case — it’s an election interference case.

It’s not a hush money case — it’s an election interference case.

It’s not a hush money case — it’s an election interference case.

MSM likes short, pithy, memorable, meaningless, and yes misleading titles. It enables people that they benefit from to have their crimes easily overlooked and the issues forgotten quickly.

The short attention span of (privileged or indifferent) US population works in their favor. We care, do they?

I agree there are multiple aspects, but election interference seems like the ultimate goal. “Hush money” is catchier and fits into headlines better.

Honest question: isn't it technically both (among other things that others have mentioned)?

It is a tax cheating, corporate document fraud, and election interference case.

It's also a federal financial fraud case - accounting fraud to hide payments for sexual services

The framing of this as a hush money case has been my frustration too.
