Yellow jacket? Yes—they’re NASTY! They are “garbage eaters” too so their sting can get infected. I’ve needed steroids AND antibiotics for their sting. It’s the downside to feeding humming birds 🙁

Not a yellowjacket if that is the question. This is a common wasp in the south. Any bee sting in horrible but a Yellowjacket has to be the worst. I was raised in GA, have been stung at least 4Xs because I was a knucklehead curious kid. Yellow jackets hit like a hammer.
