Someone said he has been asking people if he can keep firing his attorney and then ask for time to hire a new firm and keep doing that.

I think if that happens, they should say he will have to take a public prosecutor that gets assigned to him and that's that.

However, IDK if that's possible.

We'll see what excuse he pulls out on Monday.

As I, a very-much-*not*-a-lawyer, understand it he would need the courts' approval to change lawyers at this stage. But, I could be wrong, and I'm happy to learn something new if I am. ;)

My understanding is that criminal cases differ from civil cases on exactly this point, or similar -- an attorney in a criminal case cannot withdraw from representation without court approval.
