Even suggesting this feels like it could be against the law. I'm no student of law, is it illegal to encourage people to obstruct proper judicial proceedings like this?

I think clay is a lawyer he is bound to act properly as an officer of any court. Minimum bar complaints would be my guess. There is no freedom of speech from consequences of the speech.
