I have to say I don't get this whole thing. Not just Truth Social, but the stock market in general – why are businesses that don't make any money (e.g. Amazon for many, many years) able to raise tons of money by selling tiny pieces of ownership? It all seems like a massive pyramid scheme to me.

As an investor? If you had gobs of money and wanted to gamble on making gobs more, sure

But that's Amazon. Most IPOs these days are just cash grabs that don't care what happens to the stock down the road
