I would argue men also need to teach their daughters they are whole human beings worthy of respect whether a man finds them attractive or not and that they don't have to put up with sexist bullshit. My dad also showed me the way by how he has always treated my mom as an equal partner and a queen.

That's very fair and I can't disagree. Men are the ones who have better and to break the cycle by teaching their sons, nephews, etc. to do the same.

I grew up with strong women who taught me well, so I tend to overemphasize their role.

That's true, daughters get fed a lot of "men like this" BS from their fathers.

Yup. My dad taught 6th grade and when I was about that age he sat me down and told me that many of my girlfriends would start acting differently around boys and hide their intelligence. He then told me to never do that and that any boy worth my time would love me for my intelligence. My dad rocks!
