The Classical Chess Candidates tournament is going on right now. This tournament decides who plays the current champion, Ding Liren, in a match for the title.

It is wild. Going into today, Ian Nepomniatchti lead with 7 points.

Hikaru Nakamura from the US and Gukesh, one of several young Indian phenoms in this tournament, are right behind with 6.5. A win is one point, a draw is worth 0.5.

Nakamura's opponent just resigned. So there's at least a two way tie. Gukesh is up against the lowest rated player in the tournament and has a borderline winning advantage. This could happen.
