The article makes it sound like a miracle or at least something extraordinary. Which IMO it isn´t. Settling new nutrient rich areas almost always creates a high plant diversity in the short to medium term as r-strategists (known as "opportunists") prevail. Nothing unusual about that.

No, I think it is more about a big company using what normally would be dumped into a landfill to re-grow land. This is just one Company. Image what we could be doing and the landfill space we could save with more projects like this.
