Looks like #Ukraine aid will finally pass the House today. Going to start a live thread of the House votes on the national security bills today, including military aid to Ukraine, Taiwan, Israel, and the bill banning TikTok.

The rule allowing debate of these bills passed two days ago. Voting on TikTok ban bill just concluded with a massive 360-58 win. Very bipartisan atmosphere.

Next up will be Taiwan/Indo-Pacific military aid, and then Ukraine aid. Floor debate has already closed, so no procedural hurdles left at this point.

Indo-Pacific aid vote ongoing. Already a huge majority. There appear to be only token opposition in both parties.

Voting wrapping up in one minute, the vote is sitting at 382-34. Nay vote was switched to present, so there is a lot of pressure to not appear in opposition

Since this is obviously passing, want to mention a border bill was voted down earlier. It was put on the floor with rules suspended, meaning it required a 2/3rd majority to pass (failed 215-199).

Vote on Ukraine bill is about to begin. Bill being brought to the floor, as well as three amendments. Voting on amendments going first. Only two minutes per, so this should go quickly.

Amendment 1 was a MAGA poison pill and failed. Amendment 2 is from Marjorie Taylor Greene and will fail as well. Likelihood of final passage of Ukraine aid bill just skyrocketed.

Massive loss on amendment 2, 71-351. Another amendment brought up for vote. Should move on to the final aid package after this.

This amendment was on eliminating non-military aid from the Ukraine aid bill. Not surprisingly, a lot more GOP support for this one than previous amendments. But the nays already have it.

False start. Chip Roy is forcing a floor vote on a motion to send the bill back to committee. This will fail, but looks like the Freedom Caucus is going to throw procedural tricks at this to delay passage.

I'm not an expert on House rules, so my prediction may be wrong. We'll see if the bill (hopefully) proceeds to a final vote after this

The Ukraine aid bill has officially passed the House!!! Once it clears the Senate on Tuesday, our Ukrainian allies will finally be getting American aid again after a 6 month delay.

Final vote: 311-112

It's getting rowdy. The member presiding over the House is trying to restore decorum, stop the waiving of Ukrainian flags, shouting, etc.. It's worked and now they're voting on aid to Israel.

Supplemental aid to Israel is on its way to passage with a larger majority than Ukraine aid. Just token opposition from both parties.

Supplemental aid to Israel passes 366-58. This will probably be the most controversial vote politically. Aid for all three allies (Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan) has passed. Russia, Iran, and China will not like this.

People still wandering around on the House floor, but the business of the day is done. Another note: a bill authorizing confiscation of Russian assets to fund Ukraine also passed earlier today.

American national security is now in a better place than it was a few hours ago. Russia's effort to influence our politics has failed for now. Glad that Congress finally stepped up to the moment.

My guess is Johnson got assurances behind the scenes that some Dems would oppose bringing the motion to vacate to the floor.
